The Danish Royal family in German Vogue

First of all, let me just make it clear that I’m far from a royalist. However, in my country we happen to have monarchy (King and Queen) and Anja found these amazing photos of our royal family. They’re apparently from the German Vogue, and they’re GORGEOUS. Amazing photography, in the same series she also found some photos of Frederick and Marys house, it’s being redecorated/rebuilt, and that also looks quite extravagant but still very modern.

It makes them seem a bit more human, don’t you think?

Pretty amazing isn’t it?
For a bigger view, check out Anjas posts here and here. And as a little sidenote, she (Mary) is expecting twins any day now.

They are really personable. Im from Hobart Tasmania and we dont see the royal side of them. I have sat at the next table to them having breakfast or a coffee and you would often just see them out and about in Hobart before they were married. They seemed to enjoy the low key status they had here but I think the European paparazzi makes it quite hard for them now. Ive heard its a bit of a nightmare when they stay with family which is kind of shame really because Frederick always looked really happy with the anonymity.

They’re really lovely! And I can totally imagine them sitting at a cafe dining low key :) I think we, Denmark, are pretty lucky to one day have them as king and queen, they will do an amazing job, and I think they feel blessed to have Tasmania as another home where they might be able to relax a bit more than here in DK. As you say, the paparazzi definitely isn’t very pleasant – which the death of Princess Diana proved.
