So it turns out this mild winter has ended for good, and we’re now being “blessed” with the cold and icy winds from Siberia. Apparently we’re talking about temperatures ranging from -10 to -20 degrees this week. Sounds good huh?
As it also turns out, I might have to rethink my living conditions. As of right now, the room I’m spending most of my time in is the livingroom. However, this room somehow manages to be quite cold despite trying to warm it up. That’s what you get for living in a building that dates back to 1800-something.
The result? I’ve now moved into my bedroom, where the temperature is without a doubt higher, closed the door, and found candles. I might be living in this room the next couple of weeks.

I’ve been spending my weekend at my parents house, relaxing, enjoying the act of doing nothing, AND trying to convince my familie that we have to emigrate to some place like perhaps Sydney. I’ve accomplished the first two things, still working on the third ;) The grass is always greener on the other side, trust me I know, but I do feel like our own grass could get just a wee bit more green.
I’ve been told that Google Friend Connect is soon to be demolished, so I decided to remove the box in my sidebar. Instead you can follow me on Blogloving if you’re into these sorts of things.

Hope you’ve all had a delightful weekend.
When food is good

Here’s what I ate yesterday, and it was sooo good – I honestly don’t think I’ve ever cooked anything that tasted this good. Not sure what made the difference though – too bad huh?
Globe by Margit Brandt
One of the things I had wished for this christmas was a globe from Margit Brandt, and I was lucky enough to get it. I returned to the apartment today, and I’ve found a place for it in the window. It was pretty much the only thing I had wished for besides books, and I’m sorry – I promise I’ll make a better list next year! Luckily my family is brilliant at finding things you never thought you needed, so I got loads of lovely items. Thank you for a wonderful christmas.
I’m hosting the party on new years eve, so today I’ve gotta tidy up the place – I’d much rather just watch or movie and eat Cantuccini, but it’s not gonna clean itself that’s for sure.

Mission impossible

My camera is ready, my new lens is ready .. And I’m ready to take photos of birds, but squeeze me .. Where’s all the birds at?
