Rooms with a view

When I once decide to settle down, I sincerely hope I’ll be getting a room with a view. A room with a window is the first step, a room with a view the second. Preferably a view of the sunrise or sunset, now that would be amazing.

Crown princess office space

February 6th

I couldn’t help but post this photo when I saw it online yesterday. It’s a photo of crown princess Mary in her comfy office at home. Isn’t this room amazing? Their entire house (or shall we say .. palace?) is nothing but amazing, check out an old post I’ve got of that here.

Definitely a room worthy of a royal person.

Succulents in creative gardening

category: Inspiration
January 31st

If you’re living anything like me, you might also think it’s a struggle finding space for plants, let alone a garden. However, creative souls out there are figuring out new ways to bring the garden into your apartment. Below you’ll se how you can frame succulents and hang them on to a wall.

Succulent plants, also known as succulents or fat plants, are water-retaining plants adapted to arid climates or soil conditions. Succulent plants store water in their leaves, stems, and also in roots.

Chalets in Switzerland

category: Inspiration / Travel
January 30th

It’s officially that time a year when the vast majority of my fellow countrymen, leave home to go skiing in France, Italy and Switzerland. I’ve only tried skiing once in my life, which is actually a shame – I sincerely believe I’ve got a nose for it.

I visited some place in Norwayand yes, how absolutely horrifying that I’m not even aware of the place I’ve been in Norway. I promise, that will never happen again - back in 2004 or 2005, along with my boarding school. We went up there in a bus, and back then even a short trip of about 20 minutes would make me carsick, so I was dreading it. My mom had bought some pills to prevent it, which resulted in me sleeping most of the time, and having an extremely dried out mouth when I woke up. When we arrived, the prettiest snow-capped area had appeared – it was indeed a beautiful sight, and I’m truly sorry that I didn’t have a camera back then.

2004/2005 was as told my first encounter with skiing, and I was quite afraid of really letting go. I’m a control freak when it comes to stuff like this, if I’m not in charge of the pace, I don’t like it, and then I won’t do it. Of course I know that if I’d get the chance to learn how to ski, I’d get more control and possibly be able to have more fun with it. However, I wasn’t actually bad at it, at all, I can ski all right, I just didn’t wanna take too many risks.

If any of you are going skiing, I hope you’ll get to visit one of these chalets below, or something just as amazing. They’re absolutely stunning!

A chalet, also called Swiss chalet, is a type of building or house, native to the Alpine region, made of wood, with a heavy, gently sloping roof with wide, well-supported eaves set at right angles to the front of the house.

Chalet Zermatt Peak, Switzerland

This $22 million chalet is up for sale in the Swiss Alps, and it’s even got a view of Matterhorn. (a mountain in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy.) I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a house this beautiful – the windows really makes the difference don’t they?

In case you’ve got $22 million and not sure how to spend them, you can buy this chalet at Luxury Real Estate.
